Purple water is cool

Have you ever had boiled red cabbage before?  Yummy!  It tastes like salt and butter.=)  We tried it for the first time the other day and were excited at how yummy it was.  Even the kids liked it.  (Well someone didn't like it, but can't remember who.  Maybe I should make a food like chart.  Still won't make a difference as to what we cook though.  The rule is you have to try it.  Remember the story Green eggs and ham???  That's gotten read at the dinner table a few times before.  If you don't like it, you don't have to eat it, but that's what's being served.  If you're really hungry, you'll eat it. -- So nah, maybe we won't make a chart.=)  What amazed us about the red cabbage was that it turned the water a blueish purple.  It was so cool.  Izzy wanted to try it ... eh not as tasty as the cabbage but she dipped her finger in and tried it.=)  She made the cutest comment.  "Mommy, we see the coolest stuff.  Grapes turning into raisins.  Red cabbage makes purple water."  I love that little girl.

Izzy is really a cute little girl! How great to try new things and be pleasently surprised. Your nature walks always look so fun and I'm glad the poison ivy turned out to be holly. Nice cake and mummy for Andrew's party. What fun!
