So we've started something new in our house: we've delegated laundry to our kids. Andrew and Izzy are in charge of washing, drying, and putting away their own laundry. One day a week is set aside for their laundry day or we just have too many clothes sitting in piles not getting put away. On their day, they wash their sheets, blankets, clothes, everything. Since they don't have as many white clothes, they just combine all their clothes together.
So I heard the dryer timer buzz and called for Izzy to switch her laundry. I came to check on her to see if she needed help getting clothes out of the bottom of the washer. Izzy had figured out her own way so she wouldn't need help. That's my girl.

Yay Izzy and Andrew! I love it, Jamie! They're going to be such independent and confident people.
Wow! I am impressed. I thought I was doing good having my kids fold towels and emptying trash cans. I can see we'll have to step it up:) That is so cute that she just crawled right in the washer. Way to take advantage of a photo op!
Hey Jamie,
I boil it for 3 minutes. You can steam it in the package, but usually I just like one serving at a time. So I just boil, drain, sprinkle with coarse salt and eat up. Yummy!
cute!!
Way to go! Love it!!
PS- Sis H. is down in LV now =o) We're so stinkin excited for food storage and all. You've got to post more about your blender 5000 thingy so we can see what you've been making!
LOL! :) Ian discovered his arms are now long enough to reach down to the bottom if he jumps up and leans down. He's a good balancer. ;)
Ian and Sean put away their clothes themselves (more or less). Thad, on the other hand, undoes everything anyone else does. I'm impressed you can limit their washing to one day. ;) :) I wash DAILY! UGH! Not to mention the times when the cat or the kids pee in a bed. UGH! ;)
