We've got us a thumbsucker ...

Calvin discovered his thumb last week. Isn't it cute to see such a little thumb in that tiny mouth.
I think it's time to buy him a binky. The binky I can take away in a year, while the thumb is permanently attached. Anyone who's followed Babywise and read the section against sleep props have any suggestions here?

This morning I weighed him. Can you believe this little 2 1/2 month old boy already weighs 16 lbs. He's not going to have any problems passing the 20 lb. mark to move up to the forward facing car seat when he's 1. Healthy little boy that one.

wait a minute, you mean you haven't been using a pacifier? WOW! I start that the first night my kids are born, couldn't live without them!!! Maddy gave hers up on her own before she turned 1 and Thatcher doesn't seem to be as attached as he once was. I love Babywise, but I also love the pacifier!! good luck! ...and I agree it's probably easier getting rid of the pacifier rather than the thumb! lol

Fears about "sleep props" are blown out of proportion. Little ones outgrow them, usually pretty easily. And since sleep is so important to little ones--why not do things that aid it?
