Is it time to potty train already?
Alex went poop in the potty for the first time this morning. Lately she's been telling me "Poo poo" before she goes, but sitting on the toilet usually gives her stage fright. This morning before putting her in the tub, I took off her diaper just in time to sit her on the potty and she went. Andrew, Izzy and I cheered. When I said, "Alex are you a big girl?" She smiled and shook her head yes in her slow, controlled way. Too cute. After the tub, she said "Poo poo" so I asked if she needed to go. Again the head nod and she sat on the toilet. Now normally moms give their child a book to read or something. Nope, we decided to paint Alex's and mommy's toenails before church.=) No more successes on the toilet today, but I think that'll be a family project once homeschooling starts ... but that's a story for another day.

Too cute! Who took the picture?
Andrew's happy to be my little photographer when I ask him.=) He goes nuts. He and Izzy took off with the camera afterwards. There were pictures of his backpack sitting on the couch, Izzy's dollhouse, Andrew's lincoln log castles, and Izzy even took a picture of a stick she'd carefully positioned for the pose on the couch. They are too funny. I might get them some cheap digital cameras for Christmas or b-days so they can point and click away.
awww! I was thinking about getting maddy a camera too! it'd be interesting to see things from her perspective.
