Last week was a very long week due to sickness. (It's not fair when it's 4 against 1). Yesterday was an extra long day and I vowed today would be better. ... Well we started the day well but mid-afternoon we hit a downslope and have been going down ever since. So I decided for mommy to be able to function as nice mommy again, I desperately need a nap and to keep the kids out of trouble, they are being rewarded for their disobedient behavior with a movie. I'm truly hoping they don't connect the dots. I keep reminding myself, this is only a season ...
Now to my funny story. The movie went into the dvd player and Izzy said, "is it reading the disk?" I said "Yes, how did you know that?" I was expecting her to say she read it or we'd told her in the past, but her response was priceless. In pretend shy mode (head cocked to the side, chin down, eyes up, quiet and shy voice) she said, "I remember everything in my heart." So yes she was saying she'd been told in the past, but the way she said it ... she's too funny. It was a good chuckle before I went to take my nap.
