After lunch at Grandma's, we went to Layton Park and once again fed some ducks. 3 different parks w/ ducks in the last 2 weeks. What lucky kids.=) The ducks follow this cute little river. We watched them from the bridge and threw a mostly eaten apple over the back side to watch it float in the current. It was sad when we couldn't follow it anymore.
Then we found another big pile of leaves to play in but got distracted by the playground.
The favorite part at the playground was the Merry-Go-Round. We don't see those too often. I think all 3 kids got hurt on it at different times, but kept right on playing.
After 2 hrs., it was time to get going.
On the way back to Grandma's house, Andrew was sad they didn't get to play in the leaves more. That's when we noticed the leaves in Grandma's yard and decided to rake leaves so they could play. Then Andrew discovered the walnuts from her walnut tree. So I raked leaves while they collected walnuts. Grandma just enjoyed holding a baby.=)
I think the trick to enjoying raking leaves is not having the opportunity to do it as a kid. I LOVE IT! But then again, I hated mowing lawns as a kid, but that's my favorite job now. Guess it's the smell of the fresh cut grass, the crunching of the leaves, and the way it looks when the job is done.
