Making sugar cookies??? Who's idea was this?

A few weeks ago, Izzy saw sugar cookie decorating items at a friends house and REALLY wanted to do the same project at home. Sure! No problem ... or so I thought. One day we made sugar cookies. The kids LOVED the dough, but when the cookies were done, they'd lost their appeal. They ended up sitting around the house and nothing happened to them. Then for FHE, I thought we should try again but this time use cookie cutters to make shapes. Now that was a stressful evening and there was no way decorating was going to happen that night.

The Young Women from church had called up asking if they could come over one evening and do some service. PERFECT!!! Some extra eyes to let these kids explore their creativity and I could leave the room anytime I needed to.=) Interestingly enough, the pictures Glen took were with me in the room, but I did take advantage of the situation and enjoyed the peace in our home while the kids had fun.
