It's always fun when grandpa (and grandma) comes ...

It's been such a blessing to be here in Spokane with Glen's parents close (2 hrs.) But we got extra lucky this year when my parents were able to come out for Andrew's baptism and then stay through the week of Thanksgiving. We LOVED having them here and the kids keep asking when we're going to get to go see them. Someday!

Calvin LOVED his Grandpa. It was so much fun to see the two of them together.

And the long wrestlefests that only dads and grandpas can do.

But even grandma got in on the fun.

For Family Home Evening, we went miniature golfing. I know this was definitely Calvin's first and maybe even Alex's. It was definitely wonderful to have the whole indoor course almost to ourselves. We split up with 4 boys and 4 girls. Calvin and Alex pretty much just had fun hitting the ball with their clubs. Izzy didn't have the patience to wait around so she just left us girls (my mom and I) and went ahead with the hole in front of us. As long as she stayed only 1 ahead of us, I was good with that.

This was probably at the beginning of the course before Izzy ditched us. She had so much fun though and even got a hole in 1 that night.

The last hole was a sad time. Calvin didn't realize he wasn't going to get his ball back. He watched it go ...

Then sat and was sad til the boys group showed up.

Alex had seen what happened to our balls and she refused to play the last hole until Grandpa showed up and helped her.

After mini golf, my dad, Glen, Andrew and I played a 12 min. game of laser tag while my mom watched the other 3 kids in the play area. Izzy wanted to play laser tag too, but I thought she'd probably get scared shooting guns in a dark room. She probably would've been o.k., but too late now. We had a blast and at first thought 12 mins. was going to be too short. Us older (and pregnant) folks got tired out quickly and were thrilled when the timer finally ended the game. But it was a blast!!!
