Trip to Washington cont. ...

Our 2 weeks in Washington was lots of fun.  It snowed just for me and my family and then cleared up for the rest of the family to come.  (I don't think anyone else was excited for snow.=) Especially with the amount of people to come and amount of space indoors.)  It all worked out and we had tons of fun and met lots of wonderful people.
We also had new adventures everyday.  These were some of the wild turkeys we saw from the house window.

Then we followed them for a ways.  It was fun to listen and see the males strut for the ladies.
We also had fun hiking down to see the lake ... or what was left of it.  There's just a little inlet down the hill (more like a mountain) from their house.  The water was way down that we were able to see how deep the water usually is.  This is Lynda, Glen's sister, crossing a log.  She's a daredevil that one is.=)  Love you sis.
Glen's dad is a mathematician and saw the kids trying to do headstands.  We learned there's a mathematical way to place your hands to do it right and amazingly this 70 year old man goes to show us.  Isn't that the coolest grandpa ever!!!
Of course the kids had to try again.  These are some of the cousins ... Debany and Myanna.  Cute little blondies.
Aunt Jo and Uncle Larry brought their dog Amber.  Poor dog was afraid of the kids, but Uncle Larry got her calm enough to be petted.  Even though she wouldn't come near the kids, they remember how much fun they had with Amber.
The reunion was filled with lots of fun listening to stories.  From left to right: Uncle Larry, (married to) Aunt Jo (who is Nancy's sister), Nancy (Glen's mom) and John (Glen's dad).  These people know how to tell stories.
More stories on the front porch.  From left to right in a circle: Nancy (Glen's mom), me (Jamie), Uncle Loren (John's brother), Aunt Caroline (married to Uncle George), Uncle George (John's twin brother), and John (Glen's dad).
The men worked together to fix the horseshoe pits.  We got a few games in, but the rain kept us indoors the end of the vacation.=(
Story about the family pitchfork.  This baby belonged to John's grandpa.  Only John can tell the story the way it should be told.
The cousins had sleepovers in the downstairs living room.  Myanna, Debany, Izzy, Alex, and Andrew enjoyed those late nights jabbering.  Andrew got tired of them so made him a bed in grandma and grandpa's room in a corner on the floor.  Wish we lived closer to family.  Someday ...
Andrew enjoyed the grownups the most.  The other kids were missing most of the time playing with the other kids, but Andrew was often found finding who else would play with him.  It doesn't help when the 2 cousins your age are girls and the other cousins were there for only short amounts of time.  Someday Calvin will be old enough to keep this boy busy, but for now ... hanging out with the grownups.  This is Uncle Loren and Andrew.
Aunt Caroline and Calvin.  What a cute baby.
