I'm sure no one wants to see snow as everyone is excited that Spring has finally come, but for journaling purposes, I'd like to get these pictures on here to highlight Alex's first snow and our fun day of sledding. This was the beginning of April when we went to Washington for the 50th wedding anniversary and family reunion. The day after we got there, we were planning for our next day to be a snowboarding day up in the mountains. When the snow started falling that Fri. night and we woke up to 8-10 in snow, we cancelled the ski trip and stayed home to enjoy the fun. I love the snow. Izzy and I agreed that if snow was warm, we'd be in HEAVEN!!!
This is what we woke up to. This is from the front porch of Glen's parents house. Isn't it gorgeous!
That morning we saw a deer. There were multiple deer spotted over the course of our vacation.
We tried using the snowboard as a sled as well.
Since the snowboard was left out, Andrew decided to try it out. He didn't get any instructions or anything. We peeked out the window to see how the kids were doing and there he was snowboarding down the hill. Even without much snow, it made it's way down. Since Andrew looked to be having so much fun, the other kids had to try it out.
