Izzy turns 7

And the tradition continues. Here is the barnyard cake Izzy chose to decorate for her birthday.
As she was cutting and placing the twizzlers on the silo she asked if she had to put it all the way around the back. I told her it was her cake so it was up to her. She opted not to and I used this as a teaching opportunity to point out that decorating cakes is a lot of work. Her response: "It sure is, but it's my favorite part of my birthday to get to decorate the cake." Aren't those animal cupcakes (cow, chick and pig) the cutest. Check out http://familyfun.go.com/ for other cake ideas and instructions.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZZY! WE LOVE HAVING YOU IN OUR FAMILY!!!

oh my gosh, she's just so beautiful! And once again you have amazed me with that cake! I need to 'let go' a little and just let the kids do their own thing sometimes...

happy b-day!

What a cute cake! Decorating cakes is hard enough, but letting the kids help...that's angelic!!! You amaze me Miss Jamie.
