Canning Peaches

It's canning season. We've been close to out of fruit for a little while. And I'm on an emergency preparedness kick. So yes, we went up to Glen's parents to can a ton of peaches. Well, not a ton but 70 quarts worth. (This time I had to buy more jars.=)
My favorite part was my helpers. We got to Glen's parents house in time for dinner, went swimming and boating (paddling and canoeing) on the lake and started away on the canning when the sun was headed down and so were my kids. These 3 troopers (my nieces and nephew) ventured into the kitchen and joined in on the fun. Shyla had said she was interested in learning how to can and the other two hopped on board. They all stayed up and helped til I was done for the night: LATE!!! We had a blast singing silly camp songs and just laughing together.

Thanks again for your help everyone!

My claim to fame is that your first canning experience was with me. Unfortunately that was also my last :)
