Belated Christmas

Yes, Santa came to our house and I think everyone got what they wanted.  Well not everything, but they get to request one thing from Santa and Santa usually provides.  Except Izzy's gameboy request.  The rules around here would prohibit her from enjoying it the way she'd like so she got a different request fulfilled.
Andrew was the early riser and was told the night before to come wake us up.  Being the planning, prepared kid that he is, he decided to do everyone a favor and separate all the gifts before they woke up.  Glen caught the nice service on camera and reminded Andrew that part of the fun is for everyone to participate in the sorting so Andrew got to secretly put things the way he found them before the girls woke up and arrived on the scene.
Yes the piles look small but for a special reason.  We're started following a simple poem to cut down on the spending and getting.
Something to read
Something to wear
Something to play with
And Something to share
(The share gift is a group gift or 2 or 3, but not necessarily does everyone get a gift to share.=)

Andrew wanted a bow and arrow for Christmas.  My first thoughts were a simple nerf toy of some sort, but after seeing Kel's real stuff, we realized our baby boy isn't our little baby anymore.  He's growing up so fast.  Santa must've agreed because Andrew got a big bow and blunt arrows.  And this gifted boy who's athletically good at everything he tries, impressed us with his skills.  Enjoy the video.

We do that too! Ours is Something to wear, Something you need, Something to play with, and something to read. I love it. It helps me to keep Christmas under control.
