Alex is officially a big girl

It's official.  Alex has been introduced to the working part of Team Gilson.  A family that works together, stays together.=)
Our chore chart has a laminated picture of each working child and pictures of their chores for the week.  Each child is in charge of their own room as well.  Mon. mornings are chore switching day, but if your chore was left dirty Sun. evening, you have to clean it plus your new chore before switching time.
So on Mon., Alex started her first official chores and since she's always trying to help set the table anyway, we decided that would be a great place to start.  She was so proud and did a great job.
Our house rules on setting the table includes getting a pitcher of water so we're not up and down constantly during mealtime.  Since she couldn't hold a full pitcher, she decided to get everyone's water individually.
She's such a cute girl and we're so happy to have her as part of our working team.  Just another year or so and Calvin will be up there too.

As a side note:  I have the best husband ever.  He does the cooking and I do the dishes.  This semester is a little more intense so I get dinner duty a few times a week, but that means he gets the dishes.=)  How did I get so lucky.

So cute! And don't we just love great husbands! Don't know what I'd do without mine. Your chore chart is cute, too!

I like your chore chart and I'm getting ideas brewing in my head for one that includes mommy and daddy as well =o) Thanks!
