Live Nativity

On Dec. 5th, I took the kids to see a Live Nativity.  I wasn't sure what to expect and wasn't sure how managing 4 kids would work, but we decided to try it out.  Heavenly Father was definitely watching out for us cuz I randomly ran into a gal in our ward and she hung out w/ me and the kids while we were waiting for the 2nd showing.  Her husband had been saving seats and she'd called him on the cell phone to make some extra room.  We got great seats and well enclosed by other people so my kids weren't able to escape.=)  It was a fantastic production and definitely worth the effort to go.  It was held in an LDS church parking lot.  They had bleachers set up around the stage (the parking lot covered in hay).  On top of the church by the steeple was a platform that the angels stood on.  It was amazing and the kids all sat fairly still to watch.  Alex kept switching from my lap to her seat (which was a bit tricky as I already had Calvin on half of my lap and he already wasn't such a big fan of the cold), but it was worth it to see Andrew and Izzy enjoying the show and I definitely enjoyed it.  Afterwards, we were able to meet the cast which included meeting the animals.  This was the kids FAVORITE part.
There were chickens,
Shetland ponies,
donkeys,
goats,
and sheep, but they'd gotten put away before we got to them.  We had a blast and it was a good memory we created together.
