Back in June, Glen won four tickets to Six Flags calling into a radio show. Woohoo! We realized we only had 2 weekends left to use them, and since my mom was in town we decided to go. We couldn't have timed it better; it was a cloudy, rainy Friday. (Friday's are Glen's "study days.") So it wasn't too crowded to begin with. We went to the smaller rides thinking Alex would like them--Nope! Not even the teacups. The look on her face during the rides ... priceless. "Did you have fun?" I ask. Head shakes yes but with that terrified look on her face. "Do you want to do it again?" Quick shake no. Well so much for that.
She did like the cars.
Izzy and Andrew were thrilled they were tall enough to get their own car.
We took turns having an adult watching Calvin (and sometimes Alex) off on the sidelines and enjoyed the little rides and hearing the kids laugh. It was a ball. Alex didn't like the swings either. Grandma wasn't so sure either.
Around lunchtime, Grandma and the two little ones were DONE, so I drove them home and met back w/ Glen and the 'daring' kids for some more fun rides.
Anyone else watch the Olympics.=)
I got there just in time for the 30 min. storm when most of the people left the park. Some of us waited out the storm and got in line for rides w/ little to no waiting times.
Izzy was a little daredevil. She LOVED the roller coasters. Not the crazy ones of course (cuz she's still too small). But there's one called the 'Roadrunner' which she rode 5 times in a row. She loves the butterfly feeling just like her mommy. Andrew just waited off on the sidelines while the other 3 of us kept getting back on over and over again. He didn't even want to try it out. He didn't even like the log flume (the one where it takes you down a steep drop and splashes at the bottom.) But the tamer rides, they both couldn't stop smiling. Now that's what theme parks are all about.
