The Gilson's: Aunt Fay and Uncle James

The weekend before Glen came home, my Aunt and Uncle stayed the night on their way to Provo to drop off a motorcycle for my cousin. It was fun to have company to hang out with and help pass the time. The kids LOVED playing with the dog and I had fun hearing stories about my dad and uncle when they were younger visiting the farm. Don't you just love hearing stories.

Dad, this picture is just for you. Alex has become accustomed to going to strangers w/ little to no hesitation or tears. So hopefully next time we see you, there won't be a day long warm-up period ... And even though this picture looks like there were bribes involved, she did give hugs right away, promise.=)

Now that's how to ride a motorcycle.

Thank you Aunt Fay and Uncle James for coming to visit. We'll see you on our way to San Antonio.

--Alex said, "If I could touch the sky, I'd grab a star and hang it in my bedroom.

Calvin said, "If I could touch the sky, I'd grab a cloud and use if for my pillow.

Izzy said, "If I could touch the sky, I'd go to the Milky Way and sell milk.

--While boiling apples for making applesauce Calvin said, "Look at all the hot going up. ... I smell BBQ." Alex said, "No, that's applesauce."

--While cleaning the basement and seeing Calvin not participating I said, "Calvin, do you know how to pick everything in here up?" Calvin said, "NO, I don't have big hands. I only have 2 hands." All I could do was laugh.

--Izzy said, "When I'm bored, I squish people's heads at church."

--Alex said, "I really want to take swimming lessons. I already know how to drown."

--Calvin after using the little potty. "Mommy, come get Henry quick or he's going to snitch my pee."
