Andrew has started Kindergarten

Andrew started school the end of Aug. The second day of school he asked if he could stay home. When I told him he needed to go everyday (which I'm not sure I'd ever mentioned before), he asked if he could be home schooled. I still want to home school, but I didn't want to pull him out before he'd really experienced Kindergarten. He'd only been 1 day which was not enough to see what it's all about.

3 weeks later, he can tell you exactly how many days he's been to school (today is his 17th time he says). His favorite parts of school are riding the bus, and coloring. Recess is ok and the rest isn't much fun he says. I was a little bit iffy on the bus situation. He goes to afternoon Kindergarten (only 2.5 hrs.) and the bus only has kindergartners on the way to school. But on the way home, it's filled w/ big kids and I was a bit nervous about that due to a scary situation and the way the school handled it last year. My fears have been put mostly at ease cuz the kindergartners have to sit in the first few rows on the bus and the bus driver won't let any of them off, unless there's a parent there to pick them up. Now my biggest fear is that I'll take an afternoon nap, sleep too long, and not be there to pick him up. I should find out what'll happen if I'm not there, but for now, the plan is to not be late to pick him up.=)
